Black Storm Aiming to Break Through at Newcastle
Ursa Major Racing has just the one runner out today, with Black Storm lining up in the 2:13 at Newcastle for Katie Scott, partnered by Oisin McSweeney. He’s been a model of consistency since joining us, hitting the frame on all three of his starts so far, and perhaps a touch unlucky not to get his head in front. Katie has done a fantastic job with him, and we’ve been really pleased with the progress he’s made.
He handled Newcastle well on his last visit and if he can reproduce that performance here, he should be right in the mix again. The draw looks ideal, though we do appear to be in the stronger of the divisions. The plan is to ride him with a little more patience this time, look to produce him late, and hopefully see him hitting the front inside the final furlong.
Best of luck to all connections, and to those heading to the track today. Keep an eye on our socials for further updates throughout the day.
