Ursa Major Racing – Three Runners at Newcastle Tonight

It’s an exciting evening ahead as Ursa Major Racing heads to Newcastle with three runners in partnership with Katie Scott Racing.

🏇 6.00 – Straya (Rhys Elliott) (pictured below)

Straya wasn’t quite herself last time out, feeling a little sore, but the team at Katie’s have done a great job in putting things right. Tonight’s race doesn’t look overly competitive, so we’d love to see her bounce back into form. If she can travel well into the race, we’re hopeful she’ll be there in the mix and fighting for the placings late on.

🏇 8.00 – Black Storm (Shane Gray)

Black Storm is a horse we hold in high regard and one we’re always excited to see run. We would be very confident about his chances if it wasn’t for a tricky draw. That said, if he can find a good position early on and things fall into place, he’s more than capable of being right in the shake-up at the finish. With a kinder draw, our confidence would be sky-high—but fingers crossed luck is on his side tonight.

🏇 9.00 – Cooperation (Oisin Orr)

Cooperation is another runner who just needs a bit of luck in running. You can completely put a line through his last run, and his strong second-place finish before that reads very well in this company. If he gets the gaps at the right time, he’s certainly capable of taking his chance and finishing in the placings.
