Manager’s Thoughts – Huit Reflets (7.15 Hexham)
Today we head to Hexham with one runner, Huit Reflets, who lines up in the 7.15 under Jamie Hamilton. He returns to chasing today and has been going nicely at home, schooling well in preparation for this.
He opened up at a very generous 20/1, which was far too big, and has now shortened right into 3/1 on the day – probably a little too short for comfort. What we’d really like to see is a good, solid round of jumping and a performance that shows he’s getting back on track.
This looks a very weak race and therefore the perfect opportunity for him to try and find his form again. We’d be delighted to see him in the first three, and anything more would be a real bonus.
Best of luck to all connections and those heading to the track today – hopefully the Battenberg silks can find their way back into the winner’s enclosure!
