Managers thoughts for Carlisle
Ursa Major Racing are back in action today with one runner, Macedonian, lining up in the 3.00 at Carlisle for Michael Dods with Connor Beasley taking the ride. Ideally, we’d have liked a bit of rain to ease the ground as that would play more to his strengths, but we’ll take conditions as they are.
The plan will be to have him settle in behind, get some cover, and come with a run late on — he’s a horse who loves to pass rivals through the race. You can put a line through his last run, and on his best form he looks a little overpriced here. I’d like to think he can finish in the top half of the field and, if things fall right, be in the mix when it matters.
It’s a busy week ahead for the team, so make sure to keep up to date with us across our socials and website. With the sales also taking place this week, there may be some exciting new additions joining the Ursa Major ranks soon.
Best of luck to all connections!
