Managers thoughts - Prince Quattro
We send out just the one runner today as Prince Quattro lines up in the 6.00 at Southwell with Pat Cosgrave taking the ride. It looks a competitive race on paper, with several smart-looking three-year-olds in the line-up, so this will be a good learning opportunity for him.
Having switched back from the jumps, Prince Quattro comes here in good order. It’s only his second start on the flat, so the focus will be on getting him to settle, slotting into a nice position, and finishing his race strongly. He’s a horse who shows us plenty of speed at home, and today will tell us more about how we can bring that into his racing.
We know he’ll try his best, but with the strength of the opposition we can see a few possibly being a bit too good for him this time. That said, a solid run and a top-half finish would be a very pleasing step forward and set him up nicely for the next outing.
Good luck to all heading to the track today, and keep an eye on the sales as Ursa is busy there looking at potential new recruits!
