Ursa Major Racing – Manager’s Thoughts | Monday at Ayr
We send out two runners today at Ayr, both trained by Katie Scott and partnered by strong jockey bookings.
3.30 Ayr – Cooperation (pictured below)
Cooperation lines up first, with Conor Beasley taking the ride. He’ll need to prove he stays the mile, but Conor was confident he would handle the trip. The softer ground will be to his liking, and while the favourite looks a tough one to beat, we go there with a solid each-way chance. His debut run for Ursa was full of promise when finishing 2nd, and we’d be disappointed if he’s not in the first three again today.
5.15 Ayr – Straya
Straya follows later in the card with Joanna Mason on board. She returns to her optimum trip and her favourite course, so we’re expecting a much-improved run. You can put a line through her last effort – we’re confident she can bounce back and believe she should be right near the top of the market. Like Cooperation, we’d be disappointed if she doesn’t finish in the frame.
Best of luck to all our owners and connections today – here’s hoping for a big showing from both runners!
