Manager’s Thoughts – Beltane Back in Action

We’re back in action today at Redcar with Beltane lining up in the 5.10. Taking the ride is Alice Cooke, who may not be a familiar name to many outside of Ursa Major or the Mark Walford yard, but she’s an integral part of the team. Alice works hard behind the scenes and does a fantastic job with all our horses, so it’s great to give talented young jockeys like her the chance to shine on the track.

Beltane can be described as quirky at best, but he’s certainly got the ability to go close today. That said, these types of races can be a bit of a lottery, so our stance is hopeful rather than confident. This could well be his final run before a short break, with a view to freshening him up ahead of a potential winter campaign aimed at the All-Weather bonus series.

We’re keen to get that elusive win with Beltane, and we’d love to see Alice be the one to deliver it.
