NOT TO BE FOR STAR SPRINTER ‘CURIOUS ROVER’ TODAY AT HAYDOCK

Rover ran yet another superb race today, but it wasn’t all plain sailing to say the least.

Having left Katie Scott’s Lindean yard at around 9:30 am for the three hour journey to Haydock Park racecourse.

The journey took a sharp turn for the worse when an incident on the M6 left the horsebox standing stationary for two hours.

Rover and the team arrived less than an hour before race time, checked over by the vet and given the go-ahead to run, which clearly isn’t the best preparation for any horse.

But Rover ran yet another solid race, partnered by Jason Hart, the jockey commented afterwards it would be nice for the handicapper to relent, but he’s such a warrior and a trier and will win races soon for sure.

Five hours in the horsebox, and he was still impeccably turned out by Katie, Casey and the team winning the ‘Best Turned Out’ prize.

Curious Rover is a wonderful horse to have in the Ursa ranks and having run 24 times, he has amassed over £59k in prize money with 14 placed efforts.

His band of loyal owners will get win number 4 very soon for sure.
