Manager’s Thoughts – Two Runners This Afternoon
We’re looking forward to an exciting afternoon with two geldings running within ten minutes of each other, both from Julie Camacho’s stable.
5:10 Redcar – Lumenbourg (Jason Hart)
Lumenbourg lines up in what looks the tougher division on paper. He hasn’t been handed the best of draws, but he does have a favourite’s chance. Jason Hart rides him for the first time, and the plan will likely be to have him handy before delivering his challenge late. He should be in the mix, and we’d be delighted if he can run into the places – definitely an each-way chance.
5:20 Goodwood – Noble Consort (Ryan Sexton)
Noble Consort was unlucky to miss out on the Bronze Cup at Ayr, balloted out by just two horses, but now gets his chance at Goodwood. He’s drawn in stall 1, which isn’t always ideal, though much will depend on how the track rides as the day goes on. The hope is for him to sit just behind the leaders and come home strongly. Again, he looks to hold each-way claims.
(Both horses pictured below) - It’s fantastic to have two live chances this afternoon, and especially to be represented at Goodwood. With a bit of luck, hopefully NOBLE CONSORT can deliver our first winner at the track.
