Manager’s Thoughts – Tuesday Runners
We’re back with a busy day ahead as Ursa Major Racing sends out three runners across three tracks – Nottingham, Beverley and Thirsk.
2.10 Nottingham – SASSY GLORY
Trainer: Mark Walford
Jockey: Jack Nicholls
Sassy Glory looks a touch overpriced in this field. She’s taking a drop in grade today, which should bring her right into the mix. At her best, she’s more than capable of making her presence felt here – we’d be disappointed if she didn’t at least have an each-way shout. Ideally, she should be going off in single figures, so there could be a bit of value for punters too.
5.00 Beverley – CAROLUS MAGNUS (pictured below)
Trainers: Michael & David Easterby
Jockey: Joanna Mason
He might just come on for the run today, but there’s no doubting the ability Carolus Magnus has when he’s tuned up. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he popped up this afternoon, but if not, we’re confident he’ll be a fun and competitive horse for us this summer. One to watch going forward. Shares are still available in this highly recommend horse!
9.00 Thirsk – KALGANOV
Trainer: Michael Dods
Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
Kalganov has been a model of consistency for us, and we’re hopeful of another solid showing – weather permitting. If the rain stays away and the ground doesn’t turn soft, he should be right there again. Should the heavens open, however, we may have to scratch him. Either way, he remains a reliable horse who gives his running more often than not.
Best of luck to all connections today – here’s hoping for a strong showing across the board and hopefully that illusive 100th winner .🐎
