Manager’s Thoughts – Today’s Runners

We head into today with two runners for Ursa Major Racing and plenty to look forward to.

First up is Bay Dream Believer (pictured below) at 2:05 Ripon for Mark Walford, with Rhys Elliott taking the ride. She comes here chasing a hat-trick of wins, and we couldn’t be more pleased with her recent progress. She’s in great form at home, and while Craig Lidster’s runner looks the main danger, Bay Dream has already beaten several of these rivals before. She likes the track, Rhys knows her well, and the confidence in the camp is high that she can deliver again.

Later in the afternoon, we send out Time Twister in the 2:50 Musselburgh for Mick & David Easterby, with Billy Garrity onboard. This looks a competitive race, and it could well come down to who’s best handicapped. That said, Billy knows the horse and this feels like a very suitable starting point in handicap company. On paper, he should run a big race, and while we’d be disappointed if he didn’t finish in the first three, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see him go and win.
