Bank Holiday Runners for Ursa Major Racing

We head into the Bank Holiday with two runners representing Ursa Major Racing this afternoon.

Ripon 4.58 – Sassy Glory

Sassy Glory lines up for Mark Walford with Jason Hart back in the saddle. She’s finished runner-up on five occasions, often bumping into a well-handicapped rival each time, which has left us wondering if she’s truly genuine. That said, today looks another good opportunity. Jason has a strong record in the Battenberg silks and is the type of jockey who can get a tune out of her. Backed into favouritism overnight, she’s here to take her chance – and if the market has it right, perhaps today will finally be her day.

Cartmel 5.18 – Restandbethankful (pictured below)

Over at Cartmel, Restandbethankful (better known as Rocky) returns with Sean Quinlan taking the ride for Lizzie Quinlan. He’s a horse that likes to get on with things, set the tempo, and can take lengths out of the field with his bold jumping. He doesn’t always respect the smaller obstacles but is a much better chaser, so conditions should suit. This is a competitive contest, but with an aggressive ride we’d be delighted to see him in the first three.

Good luck to all connections making the trip today – it’s shaping up to be a scorcher of a Bank Holiday! Whatever you’re doing, enjoy the sunshine and racing.
