Manager’s Thoughts – Sunday Runners & Updates
We send out two runners today at Hamilton Park.
First up is Tarlac ( pictured below) in the 4.15 with Joe Fanning taking the ride. He steps up in grade today, which means he carries a nice low weight. The bit of rain that’s come will certainly play to his strengths. The favourite looks tough to beat after winning at the track last time out, but Tarlac also won nicely on his latest start. We’d like to think he goes there with a solid each-way chance.
Later on, Curious Rover lines up in the 5.15, partnered by Jason Hart. It’s a very competitive race and being drawn in stall 3 isn’t ideal, but like Tarlac, he’ll enjoy the bit of cut in the ground. He’s a previous winner at Hamilton, which is always a plus. His current mark is on the high side, so things will need to go his way—but it’s certainly not out of the question, and again, we’d hope for an each-way shout.
Good luck to all connections today—and Happy Father’s Day!
If you missed Final Edgar’s rally in the closing stages at Hexham yesterday, it’s well worth a watch—an absolute storming finish! All replays can be found on our YouTube channel.
