Manager’s Thoughts – Final Edgar Returns

We’re pleased to have Final Edgar back on the track today. Mark has done a terrific job with him over the past few months, really going the extra mile to get him firing again. From housing him outdoors to exploring different medication options, every angle has been tried to bring about improvement—and we’ve definitely seen encouraging signs in his recent homework.

Today’s race is a tricky one, with several last-time-out winners in the field. What could be key is the ground, as there’s a significant amount of rain forecast. On paper, some of the opposition may not be ideally suited to the testing conditions, which could work in our favour.

We’re dropping Edgar back in trip, and the plan is to ask Tom to go forward and ride him positively. If everything falls into place, we’re hopeful he can take a step forward and show himself to be well handicapped—hopefully returning to the horse we know he can be.

Best of luck to all connections and everyone heading to the races today!
