Prince Quattro Storms to Victory at Worcester
Prince Quattro got his well-deserved moment in the spotlight last night with a commanding win in the 8.40 at Worcester. Trained by James Owen and ridden with real confidence by Alex Chadwick, the win came as a brilliant reward following a string of consistent performances where he’d hit the frame.
Conditions were touch and go during the day, with the ground continuing to soften — and there was even a discussion about whether he’d take his chance. Thankfully, the decision to run paid off handsomely.
Facing a strongly fancied Irish raider from the Olly Murphy yard, the race was always going to be a competitive affair. Alex gave Prince Quattro a cool and composed ride, allowing the leading group to set the early pace while keeping our lad nicely settled in behind.
As the race developed and they turned for home, Prince Quattro began to pick off his rivals one by one. By the time they approached the second-last, he had taken the lead — but was immediately pressed by the hot favourite travelling ominously well.
However, Quattro had more to give. He jumped the final fence more fluently, and Alex asked for everything in the run-in. Prince Quattro responded in style, staying on powerfully to record an impressive 2.75-length victory.
Huge congratulations to all involved — it was a fantastic result for the team and a great moment for his owners.
