Beverley Runners & Royal Ascot Selections

We’re back in action today with two runners at Beverley, both partnered by the in-form Joanna Mason, and we’re also excited to bring back our Royal Ascot daily selections from racing manager Craig following the popularity of his Cheltenham Festival picks.

Beverley Runners – Tuesday 17th June

7.15 – Kalganov

Joanna Mason takes the ride aboard Kalganov, who shaped like the winner last time out but unfortunately hit the front too soon. Instructions today will be to delay the challenge and deliver a perfectly timed run. He’s been a frustrating horse to get his head in front, but there’s no denying he deserves to get his day. A finish outside the top three would be a disappointment – we’re hoping today is the day it all clicks.

8.45 – Falcon Nine (pictured below)

Falcon Nine returns in the finale, again ridden by Joanna Mason. He remains something of an enigma – clearly talented, but not without quirks. The favourite is the one to beat, having bolted up last time, but our lad is working well at home and wears blinkers today. If we’ve sorted the stalls issue that hampered him previously, we’d be disappointed not to see him in the top three.

Best of luck to all involved connections!

Royal Ascot – Tuesday Selections

Following on from the success of our Cheltenham Festival blog, we’re thrilled to bring you daily Royal Ascot selections from racing manager Craig. Let’s hope we can find a few winners to kick off the week in style.

Day 1 – Tuesday 17th June

  • Race 1 – 2.30: Rosallion (Richard Hannon / Sean Levey)
An impressive comeback last time out – should take a lot of beating.

  • Race 2 – 3.05: Rock On Thunder (Kevin Ryan / Jim Crowley)
Well thought of by the stable. Looks a strong each-way play.

  • Race 3 – 3.40: Believing (George Boughey / Ryan Moore)
A strong chance and expected to be right in the mix – hard to see out the top three.

  • Race 4 – 4.20: Field of Gold (John & Thady Gosden / Colin Keane)
Short in the market, but faces a tougher test today – still the one they all have to beat.

  • Race 5 – 5.00: Poniros (Willie Mullins / William Buick)
Returns to the flat after strong efforts at Cheltenham and Punchestown – big player.

  • Race 6 – 5.35: Haatem (Richard Hannon / James Doyle)
The class act in the field – the one to beat.

  • Race 7 – 6.10: French Master (John & Thady Gosden / James Doyle)
This is today’s NAP – and looks very well priced.

Daily Picks Summary

  • 🏇 Nap of the Day: French Master (6.10)

  • 💰 Each-Way of the Day: Rock On Thunder (3.05)

Best of luck with your bets today, and fingers crossed we can cheer home a few winners – both at Beverley and Royal Ascot!
