Ursa Major Racing: Two Runners on Thursday, Managers Thoughts

It’s another exciting day for Ursa Major Racing with two horses representing the syndicate, as Falcon Nine heads to Ayr and Commander Atkinson takes his chance at Newcastle.

Falcon Nine – Ayr (Iain Jardine / Jockey: Mohammed Tabti)

Falcon Nine ( pictured below) returns after a short break and lines up today chasing a hat-trick of wins. His recent form has been excellent, and he has shown plenty of determination in his last two victories. Conditions today will pose a fresh challenge – the ground may not be ideal, and he carries a bit more weight than in previous starts – but if he can reproduce his earlier efforts, he should be a strong contender once again. This is a competitive race, but Falcon has earned his shot at making it three in a row.

Commander Atkinson – Newcastle (Brian Ellison / Jockey: Ben Robinson)

Commander Atkinson also takes to the track this evening at Newcastle. He didn’t quite stay the trip on his last run, and today’s stall draw hasn’t been the kindest. He does hold an entry in the upcoming online sale, so this outing will be watched with interest. While confidence isn’t as high as with Falcon Nine, a return to his earlier form would put him in the mix, and we’ll be hopeful he can bounce back.

Final Word

Two very different tasks ahead today, but both horses go to the races in good order and with opportunities to show what they can do. As always, we wish the best of luck to our owners, trainers, jockeys, and all connections. Fingers crossed for a big performance at both Ayr and Newcastle!
