Ursa Major Racing Double-Handed This Afternoon

We’ve got an exciting afternoon ahead with two runners flying the Ursa Major flag at Nottingham and Newcastle.

🏇 3:35 Nottingham – May Blossom (Julie Camacho / David Allan)

May Blossom tackles a competitive and valuable sprint this afternoon. She’s been training well at home and comes here in good order. The race looks like it will be run at a strong pace, which should really play to her strengths late on. While the field is packed with quality, she’s more than capable of holding her own at this level, and we head to Nottingham believing she has a very solid each-way chance.

🏇 5:30 Newcastle – Time Twister (Mick & David Easterby / Billy Garritty)

Later in the evening, Time Twister (pictured below) represents us in the staying contest at Newcastle. He’s been well backed overnight, which shows there’s some quiet confidence behind him. On bare form he’s still learning his trade, but his pedigree suggests stamina is very much his friend, and today’s step up in trip could prove key. With only a handful of rivals declared, this could turn into a tactical affair, but if the extra distance brings out the best in him, we’d love to see him get his head in front and deliver our first winner with the Easterby team.

It promises to be a fascinating day’s racing, and as always, we wish the very best of luck to all connections and everyone making the trip to support. Keep an eye on our social channels for updates, photos, and reactions as the day unfolds.
