Manager’s Thoughts: May Blossom Heads to Pontefract

Tomorrow we’re excited to see May Blossom return to Pontefract, a course that has suited her well in the past. The stiff uphill finish plays to her strengths, and she’s often seen finishing strongly in her races – something we hope to see again tomorrow afternoon.

Her last outing at York was full of promise. She ran a solid race and, with a clearer passage, we feel she would have finished even closer. Saffie Osborne was full of praise after that performance, saying she really likes the filly and feels she’s ready to get her head in front. The yard shares that sentiment – confidence is high.

We do, of course, respect the opposition. The Good Biscuit, from the Ruth Carr yard, ran a very good race last time and has to be taken seriously. Fierce also looks a major contender, especially stepping up in trip, and will be one to watch.

That said, we’re hopeful of a big run from May Blossom. A finish outside the top three would be disappointing, and it certainly wouldn’t surprise us if she got the job done today.

Over ten of our owners will be there to cheer her on. We look forward to seeing all the photos and videos from the day and wish the very best of luck to all connections.

Let’s hope for a great result!
