Manager’s Thoughts – A Busy Week Ahead for the Battenberg Silks

It’s the start of a very busy week for the Battenberg silks, and today we head into action with two exciting runners.

Doncaster (3:07pm) – Lumenbourg

Lumenbourg lines up with Archie Young taking the ride for the Julie Camacho stable. He returns to the same course and distance where he won impressively not long ago. Since then, he ran a strong race at Southwell, finishing a close third, beaten only a length. That form has already been franked, with the winner going on to score again yesterday. Archie’s 5lb claim could prove invaluable, and we head into this race with every chance of another big run.

Ripon (4:59pm) – Bay Dream Believer (pictured below)

Later in the afternoon, Bay Dream Believer runs with Jason Hart back in the saddle for the Mark Walford stable. She took this very race last year and arrives in fine form after winning on her most recent start. With conditions looking ideal and Jason back on board, she shapes up as a leading contender once again.

Both horses head to the track as favourites at the time of writing, and we’d be disappointed not to see them finish in the top three – if not better.

Good luck to all connections today! This is just the start of a packed week for the team, so make sure to follow along on our social media channels and website for all the latest updates.
