Managers Thoughts - 10th July

After a few days away from the track, we’re back in action this afternoon in the 2:45 at Carlisle with May Blossom, partnered once again by Oisin McSweeney.

We’re looking to bounce back from a slightly frustrating effort last time out, where she endured a tough trip caught wide throughout. It’s fair to say she had genuine excuses that day, so we’re hopeful she can show her true ability this time around. This is a race she knows well – May Blossom was a close second in this contest last year, only beaten a neck, so we know she handles the track and the conditions.

That said, it’s a competitive renewal this year, and while we’d love to see her go one better, a finish in the first three or four would be a pleasing and realistic result today. As always, the number one priority is that she comes home safe and sound.

Away from the track, we’re also busy at the sales this week. We’ve already welcomed a few exciting new additions to the team, with more hopefully on the way. Keep an eye on our social channels tonight, where we’ll be unveiling details on the latest arrivals – it’s shaping up to be an exciting chapter for Ursa Major Racing.
