Falcon Nine Soars to Victory at Carlisle

Our sole runner today was Falcon Nine, lining up in the 8.45pm at Carlisle for Iain Jardine, with Mohammed Tabti taking the ride. With a number of non-runners in the field and Falcon sent off the strong 4/6 favourite, all eyes were on him to deliver – and he certainly didn’t disappoint.

Held up early and given a patient ride, there were some questions beforehand about how he’d handle the ground. Those doubts were quickly put to bed as Falcon Nine cruised past rivals who were already hard at work. Even a detour into the centre of the track couldn’t slow him down, as he powered clear to record an emphatic 4¾ length success.

There had been plenty of talk about his previous 25-race maiden tag, but that’s now firmly a thing of the past. He has an entry later this week on Friday, and with that winning feeling now under his belt, we wouldn't bet against him going in again soon.

A huge well done to all connections and everyone at Team Jardine. That’s now three winners, one runner-up, and two third-placed finishes from just eight runners so far in August – a tremendous start to the month. Let’s keep the momentum going!
