Double Delight: Two Winners in Two Days for Ursa Major!

What a start to August for Ursa Major Racing!

Just 24 hours after Curious Rover delivered a bold front-running victory, Bay Dream Believer followed up with a brilliant — and very different — performance of her own, making it two winners in two days for the team.

Ridden perfectly by Jason Hart, Bay Dream Believer was given a patient ride, tucked in behind the field, conserving energy and getting cover. It looked like a challenging task on paper, especially with a strong pace being set up front. But what she may lack in size, this filly more than makes up for in heart and determination.

As the race unfolded, Jason guided her smoothly to the outside while still keeping her covered, waiting for just the right moment. And when the gap opened, Bay Dream Believer pounced — hitting the front a touch earlier than ideal, but full of running and full of class. Once she was ahead, there was no catching her.

This win means a great deal — not just for the syndicate, but also for Mark Walford and his team, who have worked tirelessly over the past couple of months to get Bay Dream back to her best. After identifying that she wasn’t finishing her races as expected, they made key adjustments — and today’s win is proof that their hard work and insight has paid off.

Congratulations to all the connections involved!

This fantastic result rounds off a superb start to the month for Ursa Major Racing:

✅ 7 runners

🏆 2 winners

🥈 1 second place

🥉 2 third places

Momentum is building — and we can’t wait to see who steps up next. Bring on the next winner!
