Manager’s Thoughts – Sassy Glory (6:45 Newcastle)
This evening we head to Newcastle with Sassy Glory, who lines up in the 6:45. We’re very pleased with the draw she’s been handed – it really does look like the plum spot for her style of racing. As followers will know, Sassy is best when allowed to stride on, and she’ll be adopting her usual positive tactics once the stalls open.
Rhys gave her a beautifully judged ride last time out, getting the fractions spot on, and if he can repeat that here, we’re confident she’ll be right in the mix again. She’s not been the easiest mare to win with in the past, but we feel we’ve now found the key to unlocking her potential. The manner of her most recent performance gives us plenty of encouragement that she can build on it and go close once more.
We go to Newcastle today with genuine optimism that she can follow up her win and, at the very least, be finishing in the thick of things. Best of luck to all her connections, and as always, we’ll keep everyone updated across our website and social media channels.
