Friday roundup!
Jumeira Vision Returns After 87-Day Break
Yesterday marked the welcome return of Jumeira Vision to the track after an 87-day break. Thanks to the dedicated care of Katie Scott and her team, “Jimmy,” as he’s affectionately known at home, looked a picture of health in the parade ring — a true testament to the hard work and attention from everyone at the yard.
Breaking sharply from the stalls, as is his trademark, Jimmy took an early lead and clearly enjoyed being back at the head of affairs. As the race unfolded, signs of his time away began to show and he understandably tired in the closing stages. However, he kept on gamely to the line, and it was incredibly encouraging to see him retain his enthusiasm and positive attitude. There’s plenty to look forward to with Jimmy this summer.
Today’s Runners: Chasingouttheblues & Suitably Surprised
We head into today with two exciting runners: Chasingouttheblues and Suitably Surprised.
Chasingouttheblues needs little introduction — a stable star and a horse who continues to inspire big dreams within the Ursa Major Racing ranks. His progression and potential have truly captured the hearts of his owners and supporters alike.
Suitably Surprised, or “Susie” at home, made a memorable entrance to the yard last year, delivering two seconds and two impressive wins within just 17 days. She returns today after a short break and is expected to come on for the run. We’re looking forward to seeing her travel strongly and show her usual tenacity on the track.
Best of luck to all owners and connections today — and as always, the most important thing is for our horses to come home safe.
Looking Ahead
