Our New Bay x Misty Ayr yearling is a hugely exciting addition to the Ursa Major Racing team and a filly we believe has all the ingredients to become a very smart racehorse.
By the highly regarded New Bay, she comes from a stallion line that has consistently produced quality performers, combining speed, class and the ability to progress with age. Her dam, Misty Ayr, adds further appeal to a pedigree packed with potential.
She is a lovely athletic individual with plenty of quality and scope, and importantly, possesses the physical make-up we look for when selecting our younger horses. While there is still plenty of development to come, she has already given us plenty of reasons to be excited about what the future could hold.

Our New Bay x Misty Ayr yearling will be trained by Craig Lidster, who has built a strong reputation for developing young horses and getting the best from them as they progress through their careers.
With plenty of time to mature and strengthen, the focus will be on giving her the right foundations before gradually introducing her to the demands of life as a racehorse. Craig and his team will take a patient approach, allowing her to develop physically and mentally while building her fitness and education.
For now, there is no need to rush. The aim is to give this exciting youngster every opportunity to fulfil her potential, with her progression closely monitored along the way. We are hugely looking forward to seeing how she develops at Craig’s yard and, ultimately, watching her step onto a racecourse in the Ursa Major Racing colours.
