Why This Horse?
Naval Command is an exciting addition to Ursa Major Racing, with an outstanding pedigree and plenty of potential for the next stage of his career. A £378,000 yearling purchase, he has already shown ability on the Flat, including a second at Newmarket, and now joins Ursa Major Racing for a fresh chapter with Rebecca Menzies.
At four years old, there is still plenty of time for Naval Command to progress and develop. His combination of size, scope, pedigree and existing racecourse experience makes him an intriguing prospect, with the hope that Rebecca can unlock further improvement and give his new owners plenty to look forward to.
🏇 Racing Profile
Naval Command has raced eight times on the Flat, with his best effort coming when finishing second over a mile at Newmarket in June 2025. He subsequently stepped up in trip during 2026, competing over distances from around 1m2f to 2m, and most recently finished fifth over 1m4f at Epsom in September.
He has shown enough ability to suggest there is more to come, while his recent races have also provided valuable experience over longer distances. Now entering a new phase of his career, the aim will be to build on that experience and find the right opportunities for him.

The family has already produced significant staying talent. Naval Command is a half-brother to Eldar Eldarov, a dual Group 1 winner who won both the St Leger and Irish St Leger, as well as the Group 2 Queen's Vase. He is also related to Kingswood, a Group 3 winner.
