Final Edgar storms to seven length success

FInal Edgar became our third winner of 2024 when scooting home by seven lengths at Sedgefield.

The six-year-old gelding was having only his third run in the Battenbergs since joining Mark Walford but he built on a handy third and eyecatching seventh by making light work of this maiden hurdle.

Given a positive ride by Jamie Hamilton, he was prominent throughout, kicking clear two out and coming home in lonely isolation way ahead of the rest.

He will now get a handicap mark, where he will surely be a force to be reckoned with this spring.

Craig Talbot, Racing Manager, said: “Once again the genius of Mark Walford and Jamie Hamilton combine to have this horse in such good nick so soon after he joined us in early January.

“I am absolutely thrilled at how the horses are running at the moment and this was out third of the year.”
